Hey

I am new to the site and hope to get out to a meeting soon.  I live in courtice.  I have a little boy that is 4 and loves to fish.  The family has a trailer and a boat on a lake but it takes 2 hours to get there and sometimes that is all the time we have to fish so I am looking for some places that I can take him to do some shore fishing.  As to what we fish for does not really matter.  What matters is that we get out and fish.  Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks

Sean

Hi Sean.

Probably the best guy to ask would be Glen Pickering. He's spent a ton of time shore fishing. Bill Nichols would be a great bet as well. Both these guys should be at our next meeting in June. After the introduction, I'll make sure you guys hook up.:D

I fished from shore a ton growing up in Durham, try the mouth of any river/creek in the durham area , lots of carp, cat fish and even pike and bass !  live bait works best for carp and cat fish, and inline spinners and spinnerbaits for pike and bass !  good luck
