Downtown Bass Anglers of Durham Region

Hi Guys.

With Novembers meeting just a few days away, I thought it was about time to update everyone with the on goings in the world of the Downtown Bass Club.

First off, if you haven’t heard by now, our Fall Classic went off without a hitch. I was personally worried going into the event that the weather wasn’t going to cooperate as in the past. Those that prefished on the Friday were treated to cold temps and torrential down pours. Saturday, on the other hand turned up to be a fantastic day. Fishing turned out to be great with all but one team limiting. In the end, the flipsta extraordinaire, Greg Siblock and Louie, The Lug, Simone caught an impressive bag of fish, 14 plus pounds of largies and big fish to boot!

Speaking of AOY, the final tally is in for angler of the year, and the winner is………..

This months guest speaker was to be Barry Graves, winner of the Simcoe Open. Unfortunately, Barry had to reschedule for our Dec 14th Meeting. Jay has been working to fill the spot and it looks like it will be Wayne Misslebrook or Joe Figurea. In any case, I’m sure that it will be an informative night.

With the new year quickly approaching, I will be taking membership renewals for next year starting this month. 2010 should be a very busy month for DTBA Club. We have be asked to participate in the fishing show again next year. We have also been asked to host a bass talk event as well. We have a few more events in the planning stage and we’ll share them as they progress.
